THE ART OF THE CEREMONY
There is no one "right" wedding ceremony. Each faith and religious denomination has a different traditional ceremony for weddings. Contemporary American wedding ceremonies have moved out of the confines and rules of churches and have become as unique as the couples they unite in marriage. Writing a custom wedding ceremony which reflects the couple's taste and faith path is an art. I am a Master of Applied Theology, an artist educated in the wedding rituals, ceremonies, and traditions of many different faiths.
I offer custom and personalized wedding ceremonies and have tried to include writing samples for a wide range of religious viewpoints, wedding budgets, and personal tastes. Look through my wedding ceremony scripts on the tabs to get an idea of the possibilities. If you find a wedding ceremony somewhere else that speaks to you, I am not opposed to delivering a service you have discovered on your own in a book or on the internet! My ego as a writer and Minister are not as important as providing a ceremony which reflects your love story and spiritual path. A wedding need not be "religious"... I also welcome athiest and agnostic brides and grooms and have Civil/secular ceremony available.
How long is a Wedding Ceremony?
There is no set length for a wedding ceremony. Ceremony times vary with the type or style of ritual performed. Some brides want to get the ceremonial aspect of the day behind them and get to the reception, while other brides see the liturgy as the focus of the day and want a longer and fuller wedding ceremony. My Short and Sweet category of ceremony is less than 10 minutes in duration. A Standard ceremony is 10 to 20 minutes in duration. The Platinum and Diamond service levels include a custom ceremony which can be designed to fit the duration desired by the couple. Your day...your way!
